Well, I'm halfway through my Mini Med School I course and I'm absolutely loving it.
Week One we discussed the dynamics of teaching hospitals, the health care reform bill, etc.
Week Two was respiratory diseases (pneumonia) and allergies.
Week Three was skin diseases (scleraderma) and heart disease.
Week Four was minimally invasive surgery (laproscopic surgery) and the Suture Lab.
I think I missed my calling. I should have been a surgeon.
My stitches were beautiful (must have been the sewing experience).
And I could handle that laproscope with ease (must be video game experience).
I'm a natural.
Good to know, in case this whole lawyer gig doesn't work out.
Until next time,

I don't know what to write about, you guys.
I'm drawing a blank.
I don't want to just leave you hanging, but I've got nothing.
So I ask you...
What do you want to hear about?
Do you like the picture-heavy posts on dogs and kids and all the crap I do?
Or do you want more cooking and recipe posts?
Or maybe some DIY and home improvement stuff?
Or just a random mix of all of that?
I'd really appreciate some feedback so I can improve the blog.

Ok, since I've been posting pictures of kids all week, why stop now?
This is Teagan. She's just over a year old. She belongs to my sorority sister Debbie.
Even with crumbs on her mouth, she looks like an angel.
After lunch we walked around the park and checked out the old barns.
Everyone around us had to stop and say hello to Teagan.
Did I mention she tap-dances?
It was such a gorgeous fall day in the park.
The weather here has been lovely all week.
Fingers crossed that it holds out all weekend.
I think this picture below is my favorite.
Thank you Debbie for the picnic and letting me hang out with this amazing kid.
When can we do it again?
When can we do it again?

A few weeks ago, my dad and Kelly hosted our annual family reunion at The Farm. We had aunts, uncles, cousins, kids and dogs come in from all over the place. I was the designated photographer for the weekend and got a lot of cute shots of the kids and dogs (adults too, but they're not as much fun, so I'm not going to post them). Since I don't have a lot of time to blog today, this is just going to be a photo dump post. Enjoy the pictures!
This is Eva and Sabrina.
They're cousins and best friends.
(Could she be my kid or what?)
The kids (and dogs) love swimming in the pond.
Below is Eva's dog Silvie Silversnout.
Over two days she ate approximately 832 chestnuts, 6 cupcakes, 3 pieces of fish, a plate of strawberries and a breakfast casserole.
She might have had the best weekend of anyone at the reunion.
Caitlin is Raynn's big sister.
She's our gorgeous freckly redhead.
I'd kill for her hair color.
This is Kannon (aka Kannon Ball).
He's the youngest.
When it was time to say good-bye, things got a little emotional.
Tears were involved.
It's hard to say goodbye to your best friend.
By the end of the weekend, we were all exhausted.
Even the dogs were FINALLY worn out.
